'Slip and Trip'
This is the most common type of accident and typically involves tripping on a broken pavement or slipping on a supermarket floor.
Courts have been known to take into account conditions of the surrounding area.
Always try and photograph the scene, it's surprising how quickly repairs can be carried out.
As with all accidents, it may prove of great assistance if you are able to make some notes about the incident, and details of any witnesses.
